The Shift Cowl



Dip your toes into colorwork with this super fun class on Mosaic knitting! This is a great way to begin your color journey (even suitable for beginners!) or expand your knitting knowledge to freshen things up! We'll master the basic rules of mosaic knitting, play with i-cord edgings, knit on the bias, and use the mattress stitch to seam up our cowl!

Materials required: 
Pattern via Ravelry
3 colors of sport or DK weight yarn (200 yards each)
US 5/3.75mm circular needle (24" to 32" in length is recommended)
Tapestry needle
2 small swatches (at least 3"/7.5cm in height) to practice the mattress stitch, we recommended knitting them up in worsted weight yarn
Waste yarn for seaming (a yard or 2 is plenty)

Other supplies not required but recommended:
Stitch markers
Scissors or snips
Row Counter
Crochet hook

Class level: 
Advanced beginner (knitter should be comfortable with knitting, purling, casting on, binding off, increasing and decreasing)
